GLANCE is about a lonely New Yorker that can’t connect with her coworkers and doesn’t relate to her parents but gets an instant simpatico from a prolong stare from a stranger on a train.
Lemia Monet Bodden hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her BFA, with honors, from New York University in Film Production in 2008. She debut her short student film, LOVE’S LOST, at the Short Film Corner at the 60th Cannes Film Festival in 2007 and her short film, GLANCE, at a women’s video art festival in Boston called GRRL HAUS CINEMA in 2015. A photographer since she was 12 years old, Lemia has had her work in over 30 exhibitions, including The United Nations, Momenta Art, New York Photo Festival, MPLS Photo Center, Vox Populi, Freies Museum Berlin, and Ferencvarosi Gallery in Budpest, Hungary. After 10 years of living in New York City and 2 years in San Francisco, she currently resides in Berlin.
