For 20 years I have been working in TRT, the state-owned broadcast company in Turkey. I had been the head of TRT1, its first and prime channel, from May 2010 to September 2013. During this period, I had signed and approved such tv dramas as Leyla ile Mecnun and Seksenler, which have later been phenomenal and widely popular with its high ratings and also have influenced the approach of broadcasting in TRT as well as in Turkey in general.
