We’re looking for a passionate film editor to collaborate on an independent mid-length and/or feature film – narrative, experimental, and somewhere in between.
You’ll be working closely with Stephan Seidel, a Berlin-based filmmaker with a background in theatre and performance. His work has been shown at Babylon Kino Berlin, Luru Kino Leipzig, and the Anchorage Museum. He works closely with actors, musicians, and collaborators in an intuitive, artistic way.
You might be a good fit if you:
– Have experience with narrative and/or experimental editing
– Edit with a strong sense of rhythm, atmosphere, and emotional tone
– Are drawn to editing that leaves space for ambiguity, silence, or intuition – possibly inspired by filmmakers like Godard or Chris Marker
– Are based in Berlin or Potsdam (preferred) – though remote collaboration is possible
This is an independent production with a limited budget. A professional fee will be offered based on scope and experience.
