Call for English-speaking voices.
We are looking for professional actors for the voice-over of an experimental short film.
Content: In the experimental video essay HODE (working title), Ledermann & Marschner explore the transformative potential of heterosexual cis masculinity. The scrotum, usually overshadowed by the phallus, becomes the centre of attention – as a carrier bag of shame, pain, lust, dependence, dangerous-prolific sperm and responsibility.
Requirement: native English. We would like to work with women and queer people.
Length of text per person: approx. 3000 characters / 1 page.
Approximate Recording time: max. 3 hours
Recording location: Leipzig – if you have free access to a studio and mic we could also do live directing remotely
Recording period: October 13/14 and/or 23/24, 2025.
Remuneration: at least 75 euros, up to 200. We have no further funds for transport or a studio in another city.
The short film will be produced as part of the Werkleitz Professional Media Master Class in Halle and submitted to international film festivals starting in 2026.
Due to the funding situation, we can only promise a minimum remuneration. If additional funds become available, we will adjust the pay accordingly.
