CREW CALL:
Für unsere hybride Doku-Fiktions-Drama “I Love You My Narcissist” (AT) suchen wir eine Schnittassistenz in Berlin vor Ort, am besten Studenten oder Studentinnen, die folgende Punkte beherrschen:
Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Kenntnisse: Die Schnittassistenz soll die Dailies des jeweiligen Drehtages von der Kamera in DaVinci Resolve einladen, die Clips zu einer Dailies-Timeline erstellen und diese für den Avid Media Composer exportieren. Nach den Exporten werden die MXFen entweder per CloudPod oder Lokal per Festplatte an den Editor weitergeleitet.
Avid Media Composer Kenntnisse: Die Schnittassistenz wird vom Editor in den Avid eingewiesen, wie die MediaFiles für den Avid eingeladen werden sollen. Das Projekt, die Framerate, die Einstellungsgröße und die Projektstruktur sind bereits eingerichtet. Hierzu wird der Editor zusammen mit der Schnittassistenz die Projektstruktur überwachen. Die Aufgaben für die Schnittassistenz sind u.a.: Die Dailies aus DaVinci einladen, eine Drehtag-Sequenz anlegen, Ton synchronisieren, SubClips und oder auch Group-Clips erstellen, die Metadaten in die Avid Bins vervollständigen, Szenen-Bins und Timelines anlegen und die zusammengefassten Timelines mit Timecodes versehen und als Sichtungsclips für die Produktion und Regie exportieren.
Avid Kenntnisse werden vorausgesetzt, können aber auch zusammen mit dem Editor angelernt werden.
Da die Avid MediaFiles parallel zum Dreh eingeladen werden müssen, findet der Zeitraum für die Schnittassistenz in diesem Zeitraum (mit Pausen an Feiertagen & Wochenenden) statt:

We’re looking for an Assistant Editor on location in Berlin to work with us on our doc fiction drama
„I Love You My Narcissist“ (WT), preferably a student who understands and can do these skills:
Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve Knowledge: The assistant editor is responsible for importing the dailies of the respective shooting day from the camera into DaVinci Resolve, creating the clips into a dailies timeline and exporting them for Avid Media Composer. After the exports, the MXFs are forwarded to the editor either via CloudPod or locally via hard disk
Avid Media Composer Knowledge: The assistant editor is instructed by the editor for the Avid how to import the MediaFiles into the Media Composer. The project, the frame rate, the setting size and the project structure is already set up. The editor will supervise the project structure together with the assistant editor. The tasks for the assistant editor include: Importing dailies from DaVinci, creating a shooting day sequence, synchronizing sound, creating SubClips and or GroupClips, completing the metadata in the Avid bins, creating scene bins and timelines and adding Timecodes to the combined timelines and exporting them as reference clips for the production and director. Avid knowledge is required, but can also be acquired together with the editor.
Since the Avid MediaFiles have to be created parallel to the production, the shooting and the period for the editing assistance are scheduled (Public holidays and weekends are days off) to take place during this period: September 26th, 2024 – November 1st, 2024
