Wir freuen uns sehr, Sie zu einer Vorführung von BILDER (M)EINER MUTTER mit anschließender Diskussion mit der Regisseurin Melanie Lischker am Mittwoch, den 16. März um 19.30 Uhr in der Filmarche/ on Zoom zu einladen.
Beschreibung:
In „BILDER (M)EINER MUTTER“ erzählt die Regisseurin das tragische Leben und Scheitern ihrer Mutter.
Mit über 100 Stunden Super8 – und Videomaterial des Vaters rekonstruiert sie von der jungen Liebe ihrer Eltern in den 70er Jahren, über deren Familiengründung letzendlich den Zerfall der Familie.
Im Privaten sowie im Poltitischen reist der Film durch die Jahrzehnte und dokumentiert die innere Zerissenheit einer Frau, deren Suche nach Selbstverwirklichung exemplarisch für das Lebensgefühl einer westdeutschen Frauengeneration steht.
Ein intimes Portrait und Zeitdokument im Kontext der Frauenemanzipation.

In „BILDER (M)EINER MUTTER“ the director tells the tragic life and failure of her mother.
With over 100 hours of Super8 and video footage of her father, she reconstructs the young love of her parents in the 1970s, the founding of their family and finally the disintegration of the family.
In the private as well as the political sphere, the film travels through the decades and documents the inner conflict of a woman whose search for self-realisation exemplifies the attitude to life of a West German generation of women. An intimate portrait and contemporary document in the context of women’s emancipation.

Melanie Lischker was born in Düsseldorf in 1983. She finished her studies at the HFF Konrad-Wolf in Potsdam Babelsberg in 2014 with a diploma in film editing. She worked as an editor for documentary experimental and feature films and resumed work on her own projects in 2015.
