Videomapping for artists and no artists

This workshop proposes an approach to one of the most popular software used for video-mapping, Resolume Arena. Together with the artists Blanca Ortiga, we will articulate a wide range of tools and possibilities to develop our own projects: we will fit images into the architectural forms, develop live and real-time video compositions and other VJ uses in order to redirect this software towards experimentation for artistic projects and installations.

We will deeply review all tools and possibilities of this software: fitting images to surfaces, experimenting with external sources and working with masks. We will develop our skills in mapping techniques, Vjing and samplerization of images, practicing through exercises.

BLANCA ORTIGA has taught workshops and labs in institutions and artistic platforms such as the Kunst Universität Linz, BilbaoArte, Public University of the Basque Country, Azkuna Zentroa, ZAWP, Hangar Burgos, Cultural Center Spain in Costa Rica, Galpón Lima, among others.

As an artist, her work has been presented at the Montehermoso Cultural Center, Wurth Museum, Artium Museum, Canal Theaters, International Festivals in Lima, Manta, Cuba, Guayaquil, Bogotá, among others.
